CCDO Demolition Manager Course Details
This course is 5 days across 5 weeks (1 day per week).
A Demolition Manager could manage a large and complicated demolition project directly from the site, with a team of CCDO-qualified Site Supervisors and Chargehands reporting to them, or they could be responsible for several smaller demolition projects.
The smaller projects might be maintained daily on their behalf by Site Supervisors who would take control of the day to day running.
Course Contents:
- Demolition foundations
- Asbestos and the duty to manage (this is a module, not a full Asbestos Awareness course)
- Waste handling and recycling
- Structural Awareness
CCDO Demolition Managers are required to achieve the NVQ L6 in Project Management within 3 years of their Red Demolition Managers card being issued.
Who should attend
- Candidates who hold a Full CCDO Supervisor Card with a minimum of 5 years verifiable Demolition Industry experience.
- Candidates require a current MAP Health, Safety and Environment Test Pass and a Current Approved Asbestos Awareness certificate (as a minimum) or higher level Asbestos Training (e-learning is not accepted) before the card is issued.

CCDO Demolition Manager (3 Year Card)
The CCDO Demolition Manager Card is the most senior card available under the CCDO card scheme. After a 5 day course (usually spread over 5 weeks) holders will be qualified to take on the full responsibility of a demolition project, from Client and Surveyor Liaison to regular communication with supervisors about the running of the site. Managers must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience to qualify for the 5-day course. The red card is valid for 3 years and is non-renewable. Red cardholders must complete NVQ Level 6 within the 3-year timeframe to convert the card to a fully qualified Black Managers card.

- Preparation, review and implementation of RAMS.
- Liaise with surveyors, engineers, other trades and third party stakeholders.
- Regular communication with supervisors.
- Implementation of HSQE systems.
Pre-requisites
PLEASE NOTE: The red card is non-renewable. You must complete an NVQ level 6 within 3 years to convert your red CCDO manager card to the black CCDO manager card. For more information, contact NDTG on 01442 217 144 (option 2).

The Black CCDO Demolition Manager Card is the most senior card available under the CCDO card scheme. Cardholders will be qualified to take on the full responsibility of a demolition project, from Client and Surveyor Liaison to regular communication with CCDO Site Supervisors and CCDO Chargehands about the running of the site, or they are responsible for several smaller demolition projects, which are maintained daily on their behalf by CCDO Supervisors. In order to convert to the fully qualified Black CCDO Demolition Managers card, you must pass the NVQ L6 in Demolition Management. The CCDO Black Card is valid for 5 years and is renewable.
