As you are all aware, NDTG demolition training courses were postponed over April and May as a result of the Coronavirus outbreak. We are writing to confirm that a range of NDTG training courses will be available from June onwards. This message also provides you with a schedule of socially-distanced classroom courses and online courses that are now available for booking.
If you don’t see a course, date, venue or format that works for you, we would urge you to contact NDTG with your training requirements. Where there is sufficient demand for an online course, NDTG will endeavour to add a course to meet your needs.
NFDC Corporate Members who were issued with a £1000 Training Voucher will now be able to redeem this for classroom and online learning up to and including 31st July 2020.
For those of you who are unsure whether furloughed workers can still participate in training – YES they can. It is an ideal opportunity to use this time productively to get demolition skills and qualifications up to date with NDTG.
As you would expect, special measures have been put in place to safeguard training delegates and NDTG trainers within a COVID-19 secure classroom environment.
These measures include: reduced class sizes (6 per class), 2 metre social distance markings throughout the training centre and in classrooms, the addition of hand sanitisation points and regular and robust cleaning of classrooms and bathroom facilities. As most local food outlets are closed, training candidates will be advised to bring their own lunch in a disposable plastic bag. All delegates will be asked to confirm that they do not have any symptoms prior to course bookings being confirmed, and on the training day itself. NDTG staff will take the temperature of all delegates on arrival to the Training Centre with infrared thermometers.
Online courses will take place using the Zoom Conferencing platform – all training delegates require is a computer/device with an internet connection, microphone and camera.
