From 01 January 2022, CITB will temporarily be removing the requirement for funded activity to be new, so that companies can get support for more ‘business as usual’ programmes of training (including those activities covered by the grant scheme). All training will still need to be either construction specific or leadership and management development.
It is expected that this change will be in place until September 2022 but will be closely monitored in terms of uptake and available budget. CITB will continue to keep this under review as industry recovers and ensure their customers know in advance when the time is right to go back to the fund’s original aims.
